Coach driver follows sat nav to the wrong country
We often bring you sat nav blunders that are squarely the fault of the mapping companies, combined with a healthy dose of gullibility from the driver, but occasionally we like to report that our fellow citizens can't be trusted with sat navs even when the data is correct.
A coach trip to Lille, France for a day's shopping ended up in Lille, Belgium after the driver selected the wrong town on his sat nav.
The two day trip from Gloucester ended up with only two hours of shopping after furious passengers discovered they were heading away from France. Despite their protests the driver stuck firmly to his sat nav guns and took them to the sleepy town of Lille in Belgium instead of throbbing Lille in France.
The moral of this story is...well, probably not to employ coach drivers who don't know what country they are heading for. Just for once, sat nav you are in the clear.
